Will be the greatest game ever and to play it you only need a mouse (and the pc/Mac it's attached to).

I'm sure anyone is tolerable if they dont do their distinguished mentally-challenged fucking schtick. We even got Crushed tame - though his lack of posting recently probably means he made a new alt.

This will be fun on X360 in any case.

No console version ever sadly, said by Blizzard (Diablo would actually be their one franchise that could work but oh well).
I have the computer needed so no problem.

Was there any mention of any co-op or is this 1 player only?

Online co-op (and PVP) on Battle.net is Diablo's big thing (all Blizzard titles are more or less E-sport geared).

It supports up to 4 players co-op so far announced (just like Diablo 2).

Why do so many PS3 fanboys from GAF like to pretend that they're really PC fans?

I love the over-the-type violence in the Diablo series. Good to see it's still intact.

hott action

I hope they bring in a real new class. I'm not convinced witch doctor is much more than a necro

Also, IGN listed D2 as 7th in their top 10 Blizzard games.

Is Diablo II still playable?

If you enjoy mindless hack-and-slash and looting, then yeah. Blizzard games generally age pretty well.

I played it in LAN this weekend actually.

The game rocks today like it did back on release. Almost ten years and still the number one hack & slash dungeon crawler.
Infinite item creation makes every monster loot a joy to discover. Atmosphere, art & music just unmatched.

Ah ok, thanks. Will probably give it a try.

I also tried playing that other PC classic Deus Ex a few months back. But my eyes vomitted so I stopped playing..

Will buy Diablo II when I'm finished from work. The game must be dirt cheap.

The game is still expensive?

And no, I don't pirate PC games because I can never get them to work.
Burned the orange box the other day but it didn't work. So I bought it on Steam. Works perfect.

It is very cheap these days (in my location a sixth of the price a new title goes for).

Buy both the game and the add-on ('Lord of Destruction').
The expansion pack adds a heap of things like two extra classes, a fifth world, socketed items..etc. So good.

Expect to pay $40 for the Diablo Battlechest or $20 for the base game from Blizzard store

Wow, I thought it was only $20 for the battlechest.

I would just pirate it unless you want to play on Battle.net. Even if you aren't that tech savvy, there isn't much to it with these older games. Mount the .iso in DAEMON Tools, copy/paste the serial, install, and you're good to go.

Then again, if you aren't a filthy poor like me I guess $40 isn't shit.

Better to buy at retail, quite cheaper than the Blizz store most likely.

(and when you register on Battle.net / Blizz store you still get the option to download it from that location an unlimited amount of times, forever)

Third: Diablo 2 and Quake 3 are the only timeless, unmatched PC classics. Thousands of people play them still today and will play them still even in 10 years. They are like Super Mario 64 and Chrono Trigger of PC world.

add starcraft to the list.

The game was nowhere to be found in the city. But I ordered it online for €5.
Pretty cheap.

Haven't ordered the expansion yet. I want to try the original game first.
But what about the expansion? Can you immediately make use of it, or do you have to install after you've finished some stuff (missions etc) first?

Yeah, the expansion includes a hi-res(!) 800x600 graphics mode.
