I can't wait for Cohen's monocle to pop off, disgusted by your lower-class tastes. "Oh, for shame!" :wag

$11 :rofl
also fuck this.  i can find good 11 dollar wine, it's hard, but it's possible.

Man, yeah, 100% agree. I'm not even in possession of a monocle, but I know what I like. And I can find lovely wine for 11-13 US greenbacks. Anymore with the flood of South African and Chilean wines, I can get decent wine for 900 yenz through the internet services of Takamura (warning, site design is typical Japanese trainwreck) -- a big freebie purchasing clue for you other Japanboritos.

One of my favourite everyday-drinking reds is USD$15 for four litres.  I see you're up in the big bucks Chipopo. :tophat

My wife and I threw a party last night for our old college friends. I drank so much wine last night that I stupidly decided to end the evening with a bad cigar with the two guys who came over.

I've been puking and moaning all day because of the cheap crap cigar.  :yuck

For an after dinner or post-dessert cigar, I always go for a Drew Estate Java cigar.

Only flavored cigar I like, actually.

I greatly enjoyed this "It's all good" attitude documentary on wine for novice drinkers.

Even so, pretty sure even the ebullient Mr. Cleese would wrinkle his nose at your Franzia.

Casks are awesome.  They keep the wine in good condition longer for those of us who are a bit slow.

Okay recommend a wine style for a beer snob i.e. one without tannins, 'horse blanket' or any other of that pretentious drivel.

This is my favourite everyday red - you'll find it easy at Dan Murphys or whatever.  You can get a bottle for around $6, or buy the exact same thing in a cask if you find you like it.  It's cabernet merlot, otherwise known as "wine for pussies".  Not as bad as a rosé though, which is basically alcoholic lolly water.

My dad knows his reds, and I found out a while back that by chance this is his favourite everyday red too.  I like most types of red from cab merlot to a nice cab sav, which you could say is at the other end of the spectrum - generally less sweet, more dry.  I wouldn't pay more than $10 a bottle to begin with as there's a lot of rip-offs out there.  You will find ones that are worth paying a few bucks more for, but a lot aren't.

Another of my favourites is about $35 a bottle but I don't mind because the grape is low yield so they simply don't get as much wine out of a paddock and hence the higher price.  I don't drink that every day though.

My favorite wine.

Same here, I also like Rieslings though they may be a bit too sweet for certain people, especially late harvest varieties.
