Mercy is terrible, dude. Such a basic beat, completely lacking the nuance of past Kanye production work. Maybe it's better in a car with a big bass system.

Basic doesn't mean bad. Grindin' was basic. Mercy gets people so hype once the beat drops. Even more so when 2 Chainz verse begins.

I really hated the Ghostface sample in New God Flow the first time I heard it, but it made sense to me after a few listens; at first it sounded off tune from the beat to me.

dope beat. i like how varied production is today, but I'll always have a special part in my heard for piano loops. Really like that beat

The G.O.O.D. Music album is out there.

He redid New God Flow, got rid of the ugly end portion, and added Ghostface. sheeeiiiit

Overall the album is rather average imo. Lots of ideas packed into 12 tracks, some work and some don't.

I love this; more than Watch the Throne, probably. It doesn't have anything nearly as terrible as Lift Off, and it's certainly far more consistent. I even love that Kid Cudi song.

I think people are slowly realizing Wayne is lol-worthy. Don't get me wrong, he can rap and does have some clever songs/lines. But overall there's not much there in comparison to people who actually deserve to be on a top 10 list (Nas, Scarface, KRS One, 2pac, etc). Both parts of Wayne's fanbase - the young rap fans and hipster class - pretty much shat on his new mixtape (I haven't heard it). I've been waiting for Wayne to reach a level of saturation where he finally loses popularity...perhaps we're getting close to that day...

Kool G Rap is arguably the greatest rapper from a technical perspective. If you like multi and poly syllable rhymes he's your man

It's a shame he didn't get better production in the 90s. 4,5,6 is amazing but he should have worked with Premo, Pete Rock, etc in their prime
