As I told patel on MSN:
"-that's actually a really good idea (very easy automatic play)
-for once if you have a game with really awesome graphics
-and you want to show it to like... your uncle
-you can actually hand him the controller"
In this case (basically, for demonstration) - A super easy interaction is better than:
1) No interaction (just watching a rolling demo, or someone else play)
2) Incredibly hard/complex interaction that requires lots of game play experience
This is a really smart idea from a development perspective. I'd expect this concept to gain more traction in the years to come as certain niche genres become more and more hardcore. Obviously never at the expense of the actual game controls for the real players.
