Ok so I heard I can give a sort of ownership of my itunes downloads to up to 5 computers. Does this mean if I register a computer I can port the files on a removable drive. Or do I need to download them again?

I'm pretty sure you can just copy them (If i understand your question)

When you try to play a song bought from iTunes in a PC that has not been authorized, you'll get a message telling you something along the lines of "this PC is not authorized to play this track - would you like to authorize it? You have 5 of 5 authorizations available", or something like that.

If you end up using too many authorizations, you'll have to deactivate something. So like, don't go over to Doug's house and play him your lovemaking mix if you don't want to authorize his PC.

A friend of mine told me that there is a way to reset all your authorizations once a year, or something? In case you authorize too many PCs but you can't remember which ones you authorized. Or if you get a new PC and your old PC is the one that was auth'd.

Burn your downloads to an audio CD, then rip the audio CD to MP3 and all the DRM will be gone.

Well im more concerned with the tv shows i've purchased. I have a small pc hooked to the hidef in the living room that I use for internet n chatting, just wanted to see how itunes plays videos on it since its not that great a pc.

Even on my 2 ghz dual core with 2 gigs of dual channel ram it chops a little.

I'm sorry that I don't know the correct terminology, but does it have those red/white/yellow connections anywhere? You'll need a TV that has that.

No, no.  The iPod video should come with an A/V adapter.  It can run straight to your TV and I hear the playback is ace.

Bummer.  The concept of buying BSG on iTunes and the like, and using the iPod Video as a mobile video deck of sorts is intriguing to me.  I'd get one, but I'm waiting for a true upgrade to the hardware, in terms of widescreen, touch-screen iPod Video or something.  'Till then, I'm staying with the good 'ole monochrome click wheel 20GB.

Eh, I've purchased about 100 bucks worth of material from them, and sometimes it seems like the quality of mp3 I get is crappy.  The prime offender that I am thinking of are the two Twin Peaks soundtracks.  There are lots of audio artifact pops in them, particularly when higher register sound is being played, like strings.
