There are some games you hear about and think OMG Day ONE I am buying that. And then it gets canceled.

Probably my biggest disappointment in that category would be Dead Rush, the GTA-meets-zombie-infestation game that Treyarch was making right at the console transition to current-gen. It showed up at the same E3 where Activision was showing GUN.

Ooh, the Warcraft point-and-click adventure was high on my list, too. I think a lot of the story for that became lore for the World of Warcraft and WC3.

Atari Games was working on a sequel to San Francisco Rush 2049 called Hot Rod Rebels.

Alas, Midway renamed Atari Games and then closed down their arcade division, so it never came to be. :'(

But that never got out of the design phase, if it even got that far, right? CFAS was basically finished and was testing in arcades.

I always pull this out when one of these threads pops up, but I would still love to see how HellRaiser for the NES would have turned out, being on one of those super-cartridge thingies that boosted the NES' capabilities.
