Doesn't look like it from the vids I've seen so far. It looks like the same style as Etrian Odyssey. Even if I'm wrong about that, DS is still lacking good new rpgs. At least in the US it is.

It's just a first person rpg that happens to be a traditional rpg.

Portable gaming is pretty crappy in general.

It's been pretty hard to find something worth playing on the DS even after not having owned one for two years.  The only games that I really like on it are the Castlevania games and New Super Mario.  Everything else is ruined by the DS's N64 graphics.

PSP is not much better.  While its 3D capabilities are great, the nub is the worst analog stick ever and the screen on the PSP-2000 has terrible ghosting and is unwatchable in bright places.  Most importantly, all the games just seem like inferior versions of games that I can play on consoles and PC.

So, yeah, what Himu said was dum.

It's personal preference. I have 20+ games for psp and ds apiece.

I greatly prefer the portables to ps3, 360, and wii. And play my psp and ds very quite often.

Like I said before, I haven't turned my 360 on since April. But I play psp or ds at least once a day.

It's personal preference.

That's not what you said before.

That said, they're still better than all three current gen consoles, that's a fact.

No it isn't.

SFIV alone destroys anything on shite portables.

Now this is a fact.

Honestly it looks like a dungeon crawler mixed with Metroid elements, in the sense that you get upgrades which allow you to access previously inaccessible areas.

Well, SMT games have always been traditional rpgs with dungeon crawler elements.

I have a soft spot for the DS; the little system has been good to me. Then again handhelds tend to favor my lifestyle more in the first place.
