Plot Summary:

"The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day" is the highly-anticipated sequel to indie cult classic, "The Boondock Saints." The film is the continuation of writer & director Troy Duffy's tough, stylized cutting edge saga of fraternal twins, the MacManus brothers (Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery). The two have been in deep hiding in the quiet valleys of Ireland, far removed from their former lives or modern technologies. When word comes that a priest has been killed by sinister forces in the tough underworld of Boston, they return to mount a violent and bloody crusade to bring justice to those who must now suffer the consequences, with a new partner in crime (Clifton Collins) and a sexy FBI operative (Julie Benz) hot on their trail!

The first one was okay after getting over the whole "OMG CULT CLASSIC JIZZZZ" reputation of it. I don't really have any expectations from the second one, especially after it has taken this long to get out.

Nothing, really, other than the fact that it's really hard to believe that that much douche can fit into one person, but it's true! He's a gigantic douchenugget of epic proportions, with no discernible talent whatsoever. I think I've taken craps that would have been better films.

Yeah, if you're into poorly written, poorly acted, poorly directed films about Irish immigrants killing a bunch of people, then I guess so.

Meanwhile, I'm still working on KILL THE LANDLORD, the story of my forebear Michael McElwee and how he and a couple of other ne'er do well Irish lads killed the British appointed land baron in Lough Rynn in the late 1800's. Supposedly no one would turn them in even though everyone knew they had done it.

I actually never saw it, but you should check out overnight. It's basically a story of how big of a D-bag he was while making the movie.

I'm not into filmmaking, as made obvious by my taste in movies. I don't really care about the cinematography or the acting as long as I enjoy the overall movie. I can't make comments about angles and shit in movies, because I don't know anything about them. I am not wasting my time trying to learn this stuff, because I will never make a movie, short of a 2 minute post on youtube or something.

It isn't about filmmaking, it's about a self-destructive dude who was given a chance and wasted no opportunity in wrecking it. Of course, I find people with a complete lack of self-awareness fascinating, so ymmv.

I liked Boondock Saints okay, found it entertaining despite its Tarantino knockoff vibe. I think the guy has some flashes of talent, there were some stylish moments here and there. I'll probably watch this as a rental or on Netflix instant, and get the same amount of entertainment out of it, then forget all about it until he scraps up enough money for Boondock Saints III: Saints Preserve Us!
