Pathetic, in every facet. Tressel should be fired for that miserable play calling. Dominated USC on defense in the entirety of the second and third quarters, only to squander it by calling west coast passing plays with a running QB. Pryor is a terrible passer and even worse decision maker, Tressel is an idiot for not reigning him in.

That sequence at the end of the first half, where instead of running the clock out with a 3 point lead, they let Pryor pass the ball and stop the clock

. Its fitting that they lost by that amount

tbh, I don't think USC looked like a top 3 team. I thought OSU lost the game more than USC won it. They have tons of depth at RB and WR, but I don't think Barkley was very impressive. The offensive line was as good as its ever been though, and was the deciding factor in their win last night. The defense was solid, but nowhere near where they were last year.

#13 VT just beat #19 Nebraska.

Although Tech was the higher ranked team and was playing at home, it seems most national pundits were picking the Huskers.

Nebraska had them down 15-10 with under a minute and a half. VT got a 80+ yard completion, first and goal inside the 3.
Sacked on 1st down, 2nd and goal at the 11.
Threw the ball away on 2nd.
3rd down, roll to the left, back the right... back to the right... pass... Touchdown! Receiver got open about 7 yards deep in the end zone.

2pt conversion failed, Nebraska got the ball back with 21 seconds left (18 after the kick return), couldn't do anything with it.

South Carolina may be the sleeper team in the SEC. I have a feeling the entire SEC is going to beat the shit out of each other this year.

And, even though I'm biased, I have a feeling about Kentucky. I just hope the horrible third quarter of shit against Louisville doesn't reoccur on a daily basis.

Michigan is looking sloppy. The starting center is out for a month, and the backup has made at least 4 bad snaps today that have resulted in lost yards. And the defense was getting ripped, holes in the secondary and bad tackling. At least they took out Cossoko, who has been beat against every team this year.

Michigan St. will probably bust them up. Michigan's offense is explosive but wow, that secondary is a joke. Boubacar Cissoko gets burned multiple times, every week. I laughed so hard when he start celebrating after an Indiana receiver couldn't reach a (bad) pass, as if he had anything to do with breaking up the play

I watched the Ohio State game, and they did not look very good at all even (except running back Saine) though they won their game decisively. Illinois beats themselves on several of the drives, otherwise they were marching on OSU. Buckeyes have no passing game whatsoever to speak of, and Pryor is just a terrible decision maker. I think Indiana knocks them off next week. They have a strong passing attack, and if they can stop OSU's running game, I think they can do it.

I used to care about their arrogance. Now I'm more pissed at the media's obsession with pretending like they're relevant every year. They have a pretty good QB this year, but the team is not good. Yet they get votes in coach's polls, the media is still talking about the "genius" of Weis (lol), etc.

He has done almost nothing with the program since taking ove, and if he was anyone else he would have been fired last year

So much for the C-USA BCS buster. Houston just got fucked up by a horrible UTEP team, 58-41. Every team that ever gets hyped in that conference since the split always turns out to be fools gold.

And as someone said, yes LSU is lucky as fuck. They're like Ohio State a few years ago, they get a ton of undeserved breaks. Just like their "title" year with two losses they didn't deserve. Florida will put them in their place next week though if Tebow can play.

Normally I would be annoyed by Notre Dame, but the fact that I want them to keep Weis and them not be the main school with a coaching opening in a couple months means I hope they keep up that paper tigerness a bit longer. They're a lock for 8 wins now, they can beat WSU, Navy, BC, and UCONN for sure, which locks them up to keep Weis. Keep the coaching changes to a minimum so there wil be plenty of candidates once Krapthorpe gets canned.
