EARLY ACCESS REVIEW
This game gave me the experience of what it must feel like for a slightly senile 80 years old man to try to play an average video game.

It just dropped me in a mission with tutorial voices that talk over each other if you move forward, everything is too shiny and there are random invisible walls. I followed the shiny path on the floor like a good little player and *BANG*, as soon as I entered a tunnel I got one shoot by an enemy I didn't even see. My character is a spooky robot but speaks like a Chinese schoolgirl. I was looking for the options to check the key bindings but apparently, you can only do that from the main menu. Even then, it is missing lots of things like how to throw a grenade. WHAT IS THIS?!

*Takes a deep breath* I need a moment.

It has been a while since a game left me just so confused. I need answers.

Since Gameloft slapped Oregon Trail fans in the face. I decided to buy and refund this game just to slap them right back. This game came out over 50 years ago for educational purposes. For those 50 years, it's been next to impossible to play without pirating. I've always wanted a mobile version of the game. Apple got a mobile version for the original. But Android never got it. Now Gameloft posts their NEW MOBILE GAME on Steam for $30. A MOBILE GAME! They are selling for $30!!!!! They removed the original Oregon Trail from the Apple Store. Yet still no Android version.

**** you Gameloft!!! I'm not even going to give this game a chance.

Anything woke is a huge turn off for me. Rubs me wrong. There were black cowboys and black frontiersmen in the Wild West. I am a big history buff, and someone like Bass Reeves I find an interesting character. In this version of Oregon, in stead of making your family to travel to Oregon with, you are being forced to use a pre-seleted diverse cast of four characters. Part of the game is role playing. That makes it hard to role play. Anything that tends to be Woke.......the story often suffers. Wokeness may be a worse enemy than dysentery for this game. I asked for a refund. I don't care to support something like this.

I'd argue the bigger offense is that they took out the kids, it was hilarious when the parents would die and you had the notion of some kid fording the river or buying oxen.

Probably, Square Enix doesn't have a lot of deals active yet anywhere.
I think they're waiting for actually black friday to drop some last minute deals or the VGA's.

Same with Elden Ring.

On Steam they mention a franchise sale for Final Fantasy but only FF7 Remake and the MMO have discounts.

SE's pretty bad about sales. Can't remember the last time any of their $40-60 games dropped under $20.
I want to get Triangle Strategy, Bravely II, Harvestella, Star Ocean 6 but will wait until they're at least <$25 in another year. Outside TS at $42, the others aren't even on sale.

But yeah, something seems off. Even the stuff they always put on sale like Trials of Mana at 50% for $24.99 is still full priced. Maybe they will drop later.
