I've been playing Civ IV quite a bit, I'm going to stick with it for a while. I also kinda like the whole religion thing that people oft seem to dislike. How is Civ V these days?

Better but still not great. Diplomacy and Enemy AI are not where they need to be but there's a two huge patches coming in the next month to fix some of that. If you accept it's not going to be Civ IV you can enjoy it.
