Is there some trick to Steam streaming that I'm missing?  I tried it yesterday and nothing happened.  Had two PCs running on the same network.

You were logged into the same STEAM account on both machines? When you clicked on a game that was installed on the other PC it didn't say "Stream" instead of Launch?

I don't remember if you need to be running in the Steam beta, may wanna try that.

https://github.com/jshackles/idle_master

:bow jshackles has done it again. :bow2 This program will automatically scan your profile for games that have card drops remaining, then idle one of the remaining games (whether you actually have the game downloaded or not doesn't matter) then will periodically scan to see whether that game has any drops remaining, and when you've got all the cards you can from it, it exits that game and starts another one.

Beyond the initial setup, which takes about a minute, it takes no effort at all. Just run the program at night or when you're gone to work or whenever you're not playing something else on Steam, and let it go to town. I've been using it since Wednesday and got around 75 drops and banked $10.50 so far. Should have enough for TITS or Necrodancer by the end of the weekend. :rock

Any way this can get your account banned by Steam?  Because uh...it's sort of like printing money since you sell the cards and then use the money to buy your future Steam purchases.  Seems like something they'd crack down hard on if they could and the last thing I want is my 750 game library banned on Steam.

Well, you still only get a certain about of drops, and once you get them all, that's all you can get from those games forever (not counting booster packs, but there's no way to cheat that).

Yeah, this system is water proof on their end. The total quantity is regulated, the booster packs are regulated.
I can't see it hurting them. Why would they care if you actually spend a few hours in game or not.

Also, I smh every time I see people talking like the trading cards are some magic money makers.

It gets people to put money in the system and consider games that have cards more closely. It's pure manipulation and it seems to work. So long as you only sell cards you're not a sucker, but you help make suckers of other people. It's good business for them, I'm sure. :yeshrug

Yup. Trade or preferrably buy. And then craft a badge for a chance at a game specific item, which, if it's a marijuana leaf emoticon (Port Royale 3?) or something else that's rare and in demand will sell for quite a bit. So now you've got people chasing that, but there's only a limited card supply, so more people have to buy the game  to get the cards to craft the badge and so on. And Valve gets a cut off of every transaction in the process. Also, the money people 'make' is stuck on people's accounts, you can't pay it out in easy or non-shady, possibly ToS breaking ways. So you have someone paying exhorbitant prices for a 16x16 gif, money which then goes into the purchase of more games, etc., etc. Money-making-meta.

Need for Metal Gear Solid HD Triology to get released on PC too.

I guess the $20 sale price and then the Steam sales along with brisk after-launch sales for Rising helped with getting MGS5 on the platform. So it may be possible if sales stay brisk a second time.
