using firefox is starting to feel a little bit like using ie5/6 in the bad old days.

Until IE has basic stuff like the ability to copy links without going to the properties, I'll stick to firefox. How do you copy url links from say, images, in IE8? There should be a simple "copy image location" option in the right click options. IE8 may be good, but it's lacking the most basic shit which makes browsing pain free.

For links it's called "Copy Shortcut", but you're right, there doesn't seem to be any nice method for images.  They should at least implement shift-rightclick like in Windows Explorer.

Maybe I'll switch to the new Chrome instead, I haven't tried that in a while.

Why not?  It doesn't hurt on modern PCs.

I tend to not close anything until either my machine starts slowing down or I start getting frustrated finding things in the taskbar etc., then I just go through all my apps, windows and tabs closing everything I don't need.  At least for me, this works better than closing things as I go.  Sort of like manual memory management vs. GC.

Chrome is awesome but Flash tends to give it the shits from time to time. I isn't as bad as some of the stalling/crashing I would get in Firefox though.

I was serious Ctrl+F works fine for me, at least on some of the more sizable GameFAQs guides. I don't know what you consider "moderately large", though.

Doesn't Chrome do some magic sizzle-whizzle with Tabs, where they're instanced and isolated from each other in memory and processing? That could be pretty slick for Mr. 200 Open Tabs.
