My review of Cursed Mountain (Wii)
« on: September 05, 2009, 04:05:03 AM »
I dunno why I expected anything decent. It's a survival horror game, how do you fuck this up? I just finished this in a day's sitting. I killed maybe 30 enemies throughout the entire campaign. There are 8 item slots, but you dont even fill up half at one time. All you do is climb a mountain and kill a ghost or two. Climb... climb, and climb some more. You shoot laser beams at them. The ending is garbage. None of it makes sense. It's ugly. It's widescreen (omg).

Your brother dies anyway and the game ends with no closure

FML I could have been playing my Xbox 360 instead.

Meh, I'm still playing this. But I don't think I'll ever reach the finish.

I'm currently at the place where you have to record ghost mantra and avoid ghost encounter. so frustrting. I hate such missions.

I really loved the beginning thanks to the great atmoshpere. And the first few encounters were interesting too.
But I'm losing interest. The game is way too slow for me. And I usually don't mind slow-paced games...

THERE ARENT ANY PUZZLES. The mandatory sin. If you make a survival horror, you need puzzles. I dont care if its even a logical thing, but you need a puzzle. They're ancient tibetan ghosts, they didnt make ONE puzzle on that entire mountain?

I quite like climbing, but not a big fan of mountains.  Pass.
