I'm going to Amsterdam tomorrow, just for a few days with friends.

For those who've been, can you recommend any interesting places to see or things to do?

Well I'm only going to be there for 3 days and I think my friends want to stick with just Amsterdam. I'd love to see more of Holland though.

You have to go Zaanse Schans then, its just 10 miles outside of Amsterdam and there is a bus going there twice per hour from the Central Station in Amsterdam. It's as Dutch as you can get and really recommended for an hour or two

That's pretty cool if you want to get out of the city for a bit. I even enjoyed going there, some time ago.

Seriously, the world is already full of museums, but not many countries have legal weed.

I really like the zoo (Artis), but it's not really a special zoo, so I wouldn't recommend it for somebody spending limited time in Amsterdam.
Otherwise I honestly don't know. To me cities are places to find nice drinking locations, and drink.
