It's Final Fantasy mixed with Disney. For most nerds, it's their infatuation with Japan in their older lives and the Disney cartoons from youth. The games are still alright on their own, but fanservice is definitely the main reason. It's like Super Smash Bros.

Is there even a story? honestly, all I remember is that keys open different worlds, there is a giant heart in the sky, and there is some Organization that does something I don't remember.

The only good use I can think of for Kingdom Hearts is to turn your girlfriend on to jrpgs.

Otherwise, if you're an adult male playing Kingdom Hearts, you're playing it for the wrong reasons.

I've always thought about getting into KH and I actually started the first one, but then went on vacation or something and never came back to it. If I were going to try to start again, I think I'd go with KH2, because that actually looked good.

It's interesting, that the same people getting upset about Sonic having a romance with an anime princess seem to have no problem with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck mingling with Final Fantasys emo characters...

Seeing trailers of Kingdom Hearts was one of the creepiest things I have seen in my whole life, and I wouldn't touch that game with a stick from 3 meters away...

What? i can see people placing an actual "romance" higher than "just hanging"

That's also the other thing about the game, seeing how the fuck this shit would work since it was weird as hell.

Now seeing as Disney acquired Marvel another weird matchup will be possible and i'm interested to see how that shit will work too.
