I watched all five seasons in one go recently and thought it was great all the way through. I guess it may be different if you were there from start to finish (whole six years of it) but I have a feeling, as Cajole pointed out, that people are so comfortable with the characters and them just being there that it'll run as long as Friends has.

I watched the pilot and it was pretty bad.

That said, it was a pilot, and those are usually pretty terrible.

I liked what they're doing with Michael and the blonde HR lady. Too bad about them nipping that in the bud and making him go all Father_Mike again.

He was hilarious. He played a straight man middle management and would bust Jim's balls. There's one scene that sticks in my head where he's look at Jim through the meeting room blinds, camera zooms to Jim's (:/) face and pans back to String who is closer to the window and pushing the blinds down all scary like, looking right at Jim. It was hilarious.

For what it's worth, I didn't like it either. I downloaded the entire first season and then deleted it after I watched the pilot. I probably should have tried another, but oh well.

I still haven't watched it. 

How does it compare to 30 Rock?  30 Rock is my current favorite show although I thought that the 3rd season was only so-so.

The first few episodes of the US Office where they were aping the British Office were abysmal. It gets much better later on.

On another note, why aren't there any torrents up for the new episode yet???  :maf

First season wasn't very good, they spent too much time trying to copy jokes and the style from the British version and it didn't work. With season 2 they started going in their own direction and it got a lot better.

The show still makes me laugh, I just wish Creed got a bit more face time. But the Michael/man-baby stuff never fails to crack me up.

Because it sucked and was too expensive to produce.

The only good part was when Norm Macdonald was on there.
