yes, absolutely.  I'm not too far in and I'm already getting that feeling.

In one of the first levels where you catch a butterfly, I wanted to solve it in a crazy way, but the game wouldn't take any of it.  First I tried to see if there was a way to increase the gravity; didn't work.  Then I tried building a tractor beam; didn't work.  Then I tried making a crane, attached it to the butter fly and let it get pulled down; it glitched and fell through the world.  Eventually I just wrote "wings" and flew up there.

I tried using a net, didn't work, so I just used a ladder and grabbed it. Seriously did 5th Cell ever beta test this game?

a net would work, its just that the butterfly is a bit high (assuming your talking a butterfly net)

for that i used a flower.

From the GAF thread, I think Jackson said the game was effectively impossible to QA.  It would work better as a PC game where they would benefit from feedback and resulting patches.  Beekeeper doesn't react to Bees!  Although maybe hive or honeycomb would work.

Uh, duh? It's flying. You have multiple options: 'Ladder' and go use the net or weigh it down with something heavy and use the net. DID YOUR MOM BETA TEST YOU?!

So what happens when you write "sambo"?

You get a watermelon.

The word "sambo" is in the 22,802 wordlist we posted previously, between "sambhar" and "samboussa". Other racial terms (not just for African-Americans, but all ethnic groups) turned up nothing.

I played some of the original Mario and Luigi. Fun, I guess. But the story and characters turned me off. I felt embarrassed playing a game like that in my adult years.

When I fought the soda monster I turned the game off and sold it.

I saw the thread on gaf about that.  It was some sad shit.  It reminded me of that LBP Islam thing.

sometimes this game is really cool, but most of the time I want to brake my DS because the controls are so bad.  Nothing has any weight to it and everything is so touchy.  I just did a level where I needed to dig for boxes, but a dog and bee were guarding it.  Instead of taking the shovel, I type excavator to roll over them and dig.  The stupid dog manages to flip the entire excavator over like it was nothing.  Eventually I kill the dog, take the shovel and start to dig, but when I try to dig into the wall in front of me, the character starts climbing and shit.  I'm pointing at the wall ffs, just dig. It's not like you can only dig the ground either since sometimes he does decide to dig into the wall.

It's fun to pick up and play four or so stages before getting frustrated.  It has a lot of cool ideas but so many bad mechanics.

depending on how Kingdom Hearts DS turns out, I may trade this in for that.  I think I got all I wanted from the first few puzzles.  Even in the second world, the level complexity just made the controls seem even worse.  I'm still amazed that no one who played this early said "wow, these controls are shit" instead of just "LOL KEYBOARD CAT".

KH DS is not very good but sorta fun.  It's KH gameplay in repetitive little 3-10 min missions.  There isn't much story, but what is there is well presented.  The end of the game is also really cool.

I dunno, if you are a KH fan it's worth it; otherwise not really.

played through the first world.  meh.  feels pretty janky.  bad physics are bad, bad controls are bad, and they should feel bad.

I think the par challenges should've been an extended mode.

The idea behind the game is genius, but the quality of the game is comparable to Big Rigs.
