I like you, but that's pretty fucking foolish, Himuro. You sound like an old racist white dude right now. And I've never thought it was okay when you used coon either, but I usually just SMHed and kept it moving because the word always sounded so comical IMO.
It is what I taught. I don't see how it makes me sound an old racist white dude seeing as I use only when describing what black people shouldn't aspire to be or not act like. What I was taught by my parents is that by acting like a distinguished black fellow aka a stereotypical black person, I am proving the racists' right. It's all in the context.
It's just like the nicca moment sketch on the Boondocks. To me that is the definition of acting like a distinguished black fellow: fighting for no reason, having very little class (the ODB video, the Kanye video), showing the white America that has had very little exposure to black people through the only means they have, the television, that blacks cannot be depended upon.
You may think the Kanye video is funny, and it is, but somewhere out in America, some white person who sees it will think,"Are all black people like that? That was completely insensitive and without class." Hence, Kanye acted like a straight up distinguished black fellow. I throw pants sagging, using ebonics, and more in the same category.
