So I really don't have time to get into this Yoshiro complicated stuff, but can you just take an iso file, expand it, run the yoshiro thing, repack it, play it on 5.50GEN?  Also has anyone tested if these patched versions work on M33 5.00-6?  I'm kinda afraid to upgrade to 5.50 cause every so often I read somebody bricking theirs in the transition :X

You'd have to be a complete distinguished mentally-challenged fellow to brick your PSP when upgrading to 5.50 GEN-B.  Just make sure you upgrade to GEN-A *first* and don't go right to GEN-B, and it's no problem.  It's as simple as running a couple of files off your memory stick.

The Yoshihiro stuff isn't complicated and works pretty much how you subscribed it.  If you want to try Motorstorm, just download the ISO...patched versions of games are already out there.

I've seen posts saying Tales Of Vs. works.

I tried converting Tenchu 3 Portable, and it worked!  Too bad after playing it, the controls are kinda wonky and I'd much rather play Tenchu 4 instead.   :lol

PSP has Shinobido if you want good older style Tenchu.  Acquire :rock

Yeah, I have it.  It also came out in English in Europe, so I have a rip of that version currently installed.  :rock :rock

I didn't have any problems with Tenchu Shinobi Taizen back in 2005; Tenchu 3 Portable's controls were just not done in the right way.  It's a shame, because it looks like a really good port.  No pop-up/draw-in problems.

Wait, so the crack actually works on the internet versions?  I thought that Lyte said that it didn't.   ???

If by "internet versions," you mean ripped ISOs, I don't see why not.  I downloaded an already-patched version of Motorstorm to *cough* try out.  Smooth, you said "PSP Internet Store."  I thought you meant from PSN.   :lol

Tried looking into this.  It's way too complicated since you have to run the decryptor from the PSP.  Obviously less complicated if you have the UMD or are using an already patched version, but for Japanlame games no one gives a shit enough to patch them and distro them.  :\

I did it with Tenchu 3.  The only part that takes time is ripping the UMD from your PSP to your PC, and if you're using an ISO you downloaded, you can skip that part.  It's not exactly difficult and complicated when all you need to do is extract an eboot file, copy it to the PSP, copy it back to your PC, and effectively "patch" the ISO you ripped.  A little on the tedious side, sure, but not complicated at all.

And again, patched games are popping up for download anyway.

yeah, patched games are way easy to find.  There were literally megaupload links for every game up within an hour or two of the release.

I just checked to see if more were updated, and yep.  Armored Core 3 is now there.  I didn't even know that was released.

There are no other games I'll try now.  For the rest of the year, I'm pretty sure I'm buying LittleBigPlanet, Assassin's Creed and Kenka Bancho Badass Rumble :rock.  Still wondering if I should get Chinatown Wars again, the new Jak game on PSP or PS2, the new Star Wars Battlefront Game, the new SOCOM game, Lunar.

I got motorstorm in the mail and on the back of the box it says "PS3 Remote Play Compatible".  I went through the manual and it doesn't explain what that meant at all (but I did learn that it supports Custom Soundtracks).

Also, the PSP games have a different design like the new PS3 ones.  I don't really understand why.

Ok, so Ys Seven & Ys I & II are officially the only games that don't work on any firmware.  Some sites list Ys Seven as working with the decrypter but I think all they did was see if it booted and it does, but after the falcom logo fmv you get a black screen and it powers down your psp just like Ys I & II do after you select either game.

Either Falcom has single handily defeated mem stick users, or something is going on with my psp.  Everything else works besides those two and murphy's law of course is that those two were the only two games I was interested in (well, mainly just Ys Seven since I'd buy it if I can get it running on a mem stick or if they put it on the JP PSN to download directly to memstick).  :\

Got them working!  You need to tell it to be in M33 mode and not UMD mode.

Sounds like most of GT PSP was made in 2004-2005 where that kind of shit was acceptable.  Then Polyphony revived it a few months ago, saw they were almost done with their 2005 build, said "fuck it," and then finished what they started.

Sounds like Polyphony is getting sick and tired of just making Gran Turismo and doesn't give a fuck.  They should go back to making FUN games like Motortoon Grand Prix and Omega Boost.

Didn't Kazu-something say that he's into real racing now and isn't as into making the game? am I making this up? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere

anyway, Motorstorm is amazing.  Buy (or download, whatever) it if you liked the two on PS3.  It feels like a secret sequel that was supposed to come out before Pacific Rift, but ended up on the PSP.  Everything good about Motorstorm pretty much remains intact (save for the technical stuff).
