I had to google "Maryland MAP pricing."

Minimum pricing established by a manufacturer, basically. Maryland is saying manufacturers cannot set a price that retailers must not undercut. I guess "suggested retail pricing" still applies, as long as it is not a required minimum.

Basically, most retailers buy stuff at a discount and sign a contract that says they cannot sell said item below a certain price. Maryland has now said that's illegal, so retailers can mark down stuff as low as they want.
