But seriously. I agree with Solo's assessment because of the over exposure of superhero films we are getting. Even if it turns out to be good (and how can it not?!?!?), critics will scrutinize it and I fear that the typical audience won't give it the repeat viewings and legs that the other two had. It'll still make mad cash money, but not as much. I'm just fearing that pirates will once again reign. God, the second pirates was mediocre.
Well, that's my worry. I dont give 2 shits about S-M's box office, unless Sony starts sending me cheques. But I am worried that there is serious potential for suckage here. I mean, for a FINAL part of a trilogy, introducing 2 villains and a love interest, resolving the conflict with Venom and Sandman, Peter and Harry resolving their issues, Peter and MJ, Peter and Gwen, the requisite Uncle Ben scene, Aunt May spouting platitudes, 3-4 action set pieces, etc. seems quite a bit to try and squeeze into a SATISFYING 2 hour movie.
Basically, I think they went in the wrong direction with S-M3, biting off more than they could chew. Personally I would rather have just had Harry as the villain, and no Gwen.
