I've never fallen while fighting a boat.

You can deactivate techniques if you don't like them, including the crow form.

Go into the menu in the part where your techniques are.  You can turn them "on" or "off" at any time.

I only used the crow form for some witch's tombs that are unreachable otherwise, and for a particular boss that likes to destroy the platforms you're standing on.  It's otherwise not that useful.  Jaguar form is way more awesome.

Jaguar is good cause you can use that swipe attack when you run back to them. Bat is useful if you spam RT and it sometimes works, saves a hit. Crow... absolutely NOT useful

You need it for some witch tomb locations, I think that's the only reason to buy it.  Well, that and the achievement for buying all techniques.

EDIT: There's also an Alfheim challenge where you have to stay in the air for twenty seconds.  It's beyond easy if you have the crow form.  Otherwise you have to jump on decorations and it can be kind of tricky.

youre talking about the part where he dives down then comes back up where you are right? just surf around after he dives then spam RT when you see the vortex that signifies that he is about to surface

the attack i had trouble with was when he falls down and punches the water, the trick there is to spam dodge to the right and youll just6 clear him by the time he lands

How the fuck do you dodge that cannon attack on Chapter 15? I tried

- dodging
- running away from him, behind a wall

I still get hit. Am I missing something painfully obvious?

And I fucking died on Jeanne with a QTE. No way I'm replaying that boring, horribly controlled, hard to see, shooting part just to reach that again. Shits bonkers.

okay, does anyone know how the hell you can complete Alfheim #10 (chapter 5) on Hard? You have to stay in the air for 30 seconds, but the devil bringer whip doesn't work on the enemies you fight (the fire/electric dogs). I must have just killed over 10 dogs in the last 2 minutes of the challenge and they just keep spawning over and over. Maybe I'm just not killing them fast enough to get to another wave of enemies, but I doubt that...

Don't know what I should be doing to juggle these things or whatever.

Did the prologue and blazed chapter 1.

The Durgas kick move (hold B) is so broken... lmao. Plus I'm using the Rosary that makes orbs when you dodge, combined with the "witch time when hit".

Penny Arcade is having a contest where the first 500 people to email a photo of them w/ gamertag showing they beat the game on Hard gets a custom Bayonetta t-shirt (dont think its official Capcom though).

I think you're supposed to jump on this dog's head and then parry his jump attack for 30 seconds... problem with that is the camera is GARBAGE and the dog will random jump 30 feet away from you to god knows where.

There's way too much trash littered throughout the game like that and it really brings it down. Everything about the combat is superb... it's just everything else that is abysmal.

Also why are you doing Alfheims on hard? Unless you're going for a good score theres no point. Saves me a whole lot of trouble, since the Alfheims are usually the most difficult things in the game.

You can  use the crow but it runs out after like 10 seconds or so.

I figured I'd do the Alfheims and finish collecting the rest of the stuff I missed on hard but this challenge is just distinguished mentally-challenged. Not gonna waste my time with it anymore, I'll come back later.

If an IS gets stuck in you from off screen in NG2 you can easily dodge it with the invincible frames with the dash or any number of ways. That section is more like playing the street stage in DoA4 with the camera spinning around so you can't see where the cars are coming from. It's not hard (it's actually a pretty easy game), it's just incredibly bad.

The Good:

Incredible combat system.

The bad:

Motorcycle and missle riding stages.

The ugly:

Technical issues abound.  If the 360 version is this bad, I'd hate to see the PS3 one. :yuck
QTEs.  So fucking distinguished mentally-challenged.  :maf

Amazing game.  Kamiya does it again.  Every other action game annihilated.

I've just been buying the blue heart every time in Angel Attack. Good tip on the cutscene skip, god damn I hated pressing start.

I agree that it isn't very hard. The accessories basically negate everything it throws at you.
