That's an embarassment. Wonderland in Kingdom Hearts 1 had more fucking polygons in the square fucking levels.

There's no steampunk, dark art, anything anywhere.

It's a down-syndrome Mickey Mouse running around an N64 game.

You guys do know all of these screenshots are from the same level right?  It kinda actually looks like it might be the same area with the camera turned a few degrees.

My bet is that this game, which has undeniably great concept art to live up to, might not have many areas ready for screenshots yet.  Considering it has at least a year to go, that's actually pretty believable.

Deus Ex was 2000.   

I remember playing that at release and not quite having enough memory to really allow for a smooth experience at all times.  Whenever an explosion would trigger the game would seize up for a second before returning to normal.  I always used to think "man, those explosions must be so awesome", but when I played the game a couple years later on a faster machine, I was disappointed to find that, no, they were not actually awesome.  I'm so glad stuttering is nearly a thing of the past.  The last game I remember really suffering from it was the original 2004 release of Half-Life 2 on PCs of that day and age.

So he and his wife are trying to survive in this "Wasteland" and Oswald has gone kinda insane, trying to recreate Mickey's life for himself with Oswald-themed stuff and robotic versions of Mickey's friends to be his own.

I'll hold off on dissing the game's graphics any further until I see it motion. We knew it's gonna be a Wii game so it'd be stupid to expect something technologically groundbreaking. I guess the concept art just threw me off, they were amazing. What I'm seeing in the released screens, however, cannot be farther from what I was expecting stylistically. The only thing "dark" about it is the color palette.

Pretty much.  The concept art was beautiful and haunting, but these shots look nothing like the artwork.  Basically looks like Kingdom Hearts to me.
