I think the base problem here is the speed. RKA is an action platformer emphasizing a perfect balance between action and platforming.
So the action is quick. In contrast, this game is fucking slow as molasses.
I guess the shooter stage KINDA looks like the shooting stage in RKA, but it looks completely boring.

Will probably be a decent game, but it's like they completely forgot the appeal of RKA, which is fast-paced action and platforming melded together to form one delicious package. Maybe the later levels are more upbeat?
