I know the sale doesn't start till Oct 11 but I'll like to see what y'all are getting. 

The last game I bought was RE5 for the 360 so I've missed out on quite a few games.  However, I still can't think of anything that I really want, except for Uncharted 2.  Infamous seems nice but I've still yet to try a few sandbox games that I already own.

Apparently you can at some TRUs.  I think I'm going to go in and talk to somebody on the 13th and see if I can get Brutal Legend and two placeholder games and bring 'em back the next week for Borderlands and Fallout 3 GOTY.  I'd also have to switch my GS Brutal Legend reservation to Dragon Age or something I guess.  A lot of work.

Yes any priced title is part of B2G1 (cheapest title is free), and yes you can use your gift card (why wouldnt they?)

What most people do is hold onto their freebie and exchange it when said game is out. I think its YMMV with this though.

Holding onto a game for a later exchange is not a really wise idea unless you don't mind having to keep it in case the deal didn't work.

I had to plead with the manager to let me exchange that POS Golden Axe game for some other pre-sale title.  She said that an exchange had to be all or nothing and 1 of my 3 games was already open.  Luckily, she let me do the exchange after I told her some BS about how I just found out that Golden Axe was a D- game.

This is one adds some genuinely new shit, and brings back the genuinely cool stuff from the old games. Space exploration Spherical worlds   We'll see how it ends up, but it seems more interesting than TOD for sure. A bit buggered by a lack of co-op, though.

Besides, it looks fucking incredible. Will be a good companion to MW2 for sure.

Also, guys, you can scam the system a little.
If the game is MARKED DOWN from an existing price (Rarer and rarer, but still happens), if you scan it, it counts as the original price in the B2G1 calculations, so make sure it's NOT third and it won't get marked as free.

IE:

Doom - $25 (VISIBLY Marked down from $50)
Wolfenstein - $50
X-Men - $50

In THAT order, X-Men would be free, and you pay $75.

I think what I'm going to do is get Brutal Legend, Arkham Asylum and some other game I wouldn't hate if I had to keep on the 13th.  Then, this is the part that will make me bonkers- I will keep Brutal Legend in the wrapper and wait to play it until the 20th.  If all 3 of the games are still in the shrink wrap then I should have no issues taking the 2 I don't want to keep back along with Brutal Legend on the 20th and walking out with that same copy of Brutal Legend plus Borderlands and Fallout 3 GOTY.

At least that's my theory.

Yeah. In the past, TRU was clearing out games by writing a green highlighter or orange across the price tag. They used to stock a LOT more games and I got TONS of shit for CHEAP.

But what I said about DMC and most exclusives gone non-exclusive holds true. Once it does that, the fanboys bitch for a bit, then people just stop giving a shit about the series altogether. I imagine Metal Gear Rizing will get brushed aside, too, just like Tekken, DMC, Ridge Racer and whatever else.

I got LP:CE on the PC, and got pissed off that I couldn't add it to Steam using the product key. Only the regular edition works.
