Just like the novelty of the DS wore off??
I think its safe to say Nintendo knows what they are doing.
huh?
two different markets.
two different demos.
it was an able try, albeit a predictable one.
in the handheld market, nintendo has maintained a quasi-monopoly, one that, while threatened by the psp, still stands.
in the console market, since the debut of the n64, nintendo's mindshare has diminished considerably.
that the wii has sold out MEANS JACK SHIT.
it sold out, by and large, to the same people who picked up a cube and defended it until one release per year was actually the norm.
that's the type of fanaticism we're dealing with, and it applies to the wii.
you honestly think the same people who purchased a ps2 and xbox, the casual gamers who comprise the majority of this market, are going to stand by and remain content when they see outdated sub-xbox garbage 2 years into the wii's lifespan?
it's not going to happen, no matter how eager you sad shits are to see it occur.
once the true next-gen software matures, with developers harnessing the beasts housed under their hoods, the wii will be what it has ALWAYS been -- an outdated piece of shit with a cool wand that grows old really fucking quick.
likening the wii to the ds screams of desperation.
