It's still quite a ways off so maybe more interest will be generated.  Since it looks quite a bit better than the first it'll probably sell well enough to keep the series going at least.

Perhaps that's it, but I'm not so sure. It just seems like one of those games that get a half page of "looks totally awesome, will keep an eye on" whenever new footage is released, and then it fades away until the next trailer and the next thread. Then again, I guess that's sort of the norm with sandbox games. We'll see.

well you're right. This trailer had like 15 replies on gaf while a thread wondering if rare was overexposed with projects got like 500 replies :/
For such a nice looking game it is a shame.


It is too bad because I heard that Avalanche is very dependent how well this game is going to sale or they will end up like GRIN.

As one of the deranged fools that loved Just Cause even though I knew it was flawed as hell, I was a true believer from the start.  God knows I posted DC's pics of the game enough over the past several years.  Anyone with eyes could tell that their engine had a ton of potential, it's just that the gameplay needed to be fleshed out some more and it looks like that's what we're getting with JC2.

I'll watch those skydiving videos, DC.  Hell, I might even make some of my own too.
