i didn't buy a book on creating REST services with WCF, either.  tho I did buy the 5th edition of Windows Internals by Russinovich et al

I keep almost buying a netbook.  Now I know that want either the HP 311 or a rough equivalent, but am waiting for it to come down a bit in price.  Also, my awesome Asus laptop that I bought has been giving me fits and is currently being repaired for the second time so I'm a little gunshy on buying another laptop like device.

First the battery wouldn't hold a charge, but I could still use it if I kept it plugged in.  And I mean it NEVER held a charge at all.  So I sent it back since it's obviously still under warranty and now the screen keeps going out.  fml.

Nah, it's basically one but it's an Asus that I got for about $900.  I think I just got a dud battery and that somehow they fucked up the screen either handling it or in shipment.  I'm trying to convince them just to send me a replacement since it had so many issues, but they want to try and fix the screen first.
