Boresquad Weekend Shenanigans?
« on: October 10, 2009, 09:04:30 PM »
I'm on Bad Company all weekend, between spurts of working, if anyone wants to have a go? I'm really trying to get better.

I traded mine in, you'll find out why on Tuesday

i'm no good at BF1943, but I was THOROUGHLY TERRIBLE at BF:BC - never knew where I was on the map, couldn't shoot for shit, three steps after respawn and dead, etc.

everyone's been playing it so long i just knew i really didn't stand a chance to catch up (even a little) to the point where i'd stop feeling like a gimp and enjoy myself - unless i invested all my free time in it

i'll still play BF1943 and other stuff with you guys, but BF:BC just wasn't my bag

Eel, did you try Battlefield Heroes?

It seems worth a try for the Borecast's budget gaming segment.

It has a rough learning curve, and is not as balanced as 1943, but it's pretty damn fun. I wish you gave it another shot, because I think you only played a few times.

I started off pretty awful, but I've been consistently at the top of my squad since unlocking some proper weapons. Anti-tank mines are fun!

I deleted COD4 off my HD a month ago.  There's no point in keeping it when the soon to be released sequel is pretty much the same game but better.

Fuck that, COD6 MP looks like a cluttered mess designed squarely for the Mountain Dew guzzling OCD set.

We'll see, I'm keeping my expectations real low. SpecOps mode alone will be enough to make it GOTY, I'm sure.

I do play CoD4 and World at War. And I'll play Modern Warfare 2, which as Viz already said, will rock so fucking hard that your wake up with a hernia.

I'll try and get on Bad Company tonight. I should try and get some more miles out of it since there's little resale value on Xbox 360 On Demand titles.  :gloomy

Awesome matches. That random guy we met up with was awesome - Triumph was hysterical lobbing grenades at tanks. :lol

Well, it worked at least twice.  :lol

Since it was my first time playing online I just picked the assault kit not really knowing the advantages or disadvantages- the assault kit definitely doesn't have the ability to take down vehicles easily, since grenades aren't very powerful/accurate.  With the unlocks I got I bought a sniper rifle and a health injector.  I usually like sniping in fps games.

Also, yeah that foolproof dude was pretty cool.  And kestastrophe betrayed us!  :punch

His betrayal will be remembered for years to come.

He's getting pretty good at sniping.

A random? He was definitely the coolest random I've ever encountered.

I had a great time while it lasted.

Yeah, Triumph and I were playing for a bit before that or else I would've stayed around longer.

:bow Foolproof

Those first couple of games that we had were intense. Especially the game where those guys were driving around in vehicles on the urban map. I am done for the night, sorry Cheat.

Don't worry, we'll play again. I think we're all starting to learn the ropes of Bad Company - we're pretty good as a squad now.

Those first couple of matches were crazy, with those assholes driving around in the ATV spawning and dumping bogies all over our flags.
