Linkin Park's first album is good. I felt they were miles ahead of the entire nu-metal shitstorm. People forget that the best bands of that era (Disturbed) are still around and very popular. The problem with LP is that they never grew out of that phase even after they perfected. Hearing their perfectly executed 3:30min songs of wierd sample-riff-rap sing verse-screaming chorus-verse-screaming chorus-bridge-chorus gets boring VERY fast.

Rick Rubin doesn't make many bad records, so maybe he can bring something out of them on their next album.

My first roommate in college was obsessed with ICP and Apple. Now, 7 years later, I am a total Apple fanboy. Who knows what weird turns my future holds.

Note that he was not really a "juggalo" proper. I don't think they existed, or were at least widespread, on the east coast in 1999. If he lived in a different area, he would've been, though. He kept me entranced with the mythology behind the Dark Carnival and what not. I believe he even had a website for it, too, although I may just be attributing one to him when I am actually remembering some miscellaneous one I happened upon back in the day.
