Looks good up until the part where the furries and the subpar CG starts up.

It's telling that most people's goodwill towards this film comes mostly from James Cameron's name, and not from the merits of anything shown thus far. I suspect it will crash and burn in today's box office, where the mainstream really doesn't care about Cameron anymore.

CG continues to unimpress. Sure it looks good, but it's not the best cg I've seen. To make matters worse, the art design is horrible. Not just the aliens. The fucking mecha suits are a step back from the ones in The Matrix

The story is beyond generic. They even have a Braveheart speech in there.

Certainly not REVOLUTIONARYOMGALLOVERMYTITS as it was being touted before the trailer and preview, both which made it clear that it is absolutely ordinary. And as others have said, it'll just be a space opera adaptation of Dances with Wolves, Pocahontas, The Last Samurai, etc. Yawn.

Only the head was CG and it was made using shots from the first movie. Not really the same thing.

No, the head was completely CG. When T1 was made a full body cast of Arnold was made and they used that to create the 3D model. They didn't just slap shots from T1 on there.

The furry kissing scene just makes me cringe. Its a bunch of humans living out their furry fantasies, technologically advanced furryism. Streaming your consciousness into some alien animal and getting your fuck on is the same as suiting up in that fox suit with optional balloon knot port and getting your fuck on.

Cameron should have just did Battle Angel Alita instead. Though reading the Wiki it states that Cameron is using the tech in Avatar as a testing ground for possibly shooting Battle Angel Alita.

I'm not even sure how much traction this movie will gain with the furry community, because it's so damned hard to find Avatar porn. If I google "Avatar hentai" I get a bunch of fucked up pictures of that bald kid from the Nickelodeon show. If I google "Navi hentai" I get a lot of Zelda porn.

The HD trailer really makes it all click. The little scene where Zoesmurf says "You knew this would happen?" looks crazy. Seeing this movie at IMAX is gonna blow minds.

The changes in the trailer are definitely helping in regards to cohesion on the lighting. The last two images in particular, the background stood out way too much and didn't look right.
