it looks really good, but sadly this game will bomb. No one is caring about it.

That's a lot of the gameplay they previewed in the dev walkthrough; nice to know it's real but I wonder how easy or hard it will be to pull off in the game. Mercs 2 had fun-looking physics-based gameplay as well, but it fell far short of what the previews depicted in actual gameplay.

can't wait for this game, loved the first one so much. Today i might just take that skydiving video.

Yep.  Can't wait.  If the PS3 version is competent, I'd pick it up for the video capture aspect.  In open world chaotic games like Crackdown, GTA, JC, so many random cool moments happen that it'll be nice to pause, rewind, and capture a clip of what just happened.

You did a good job selling people on the original back in the day with your sky pics :)

I really can't wait for this one. I hope it gets the sales it deserves. The original was great for just messing around and exploring.

The game looks super fun.  It's grapple hooks and parachutes, two things usually awesome in games, and making everything kinda work around them even better than the first game.  It looks like the first open world game that solves the annoyance of being without a car since you can just parachute and grapple sling shot your way around.  Only a jetpack would be better.

Yeah, you could do that in the first one though :P

DCharlie might have the link.  It was in the gaf official thread, lots of pretty pictures from 8000km above.

Yeah, for individual stuff where you're free to swap vehicles or go without, great. But the scene where you have to get the witness presumably in that one car, all the way to the checkpoint, the dev states that damage is adversely affecting the car's handling. Don't know what to say about that other than "Urg." I didn't like it in Crackdown, and I don't expect to like it here.

That cover system on a moving car is pretty sweet though.

I remember only being able to grapple onto cars in the first one.  Here it seems like you can do it on trees, the ground or anywhere.

I'm more worried that the game will force you to drive vehicles.  My first thought when I saw the objective was: grapple car to helicopter, jack helicopter and fly it to destination.  If you can't do that, I'll be disappointed.

you can do that. Avalanche has said you can solve a mission in many different ways.
