Sunday Afternoons

That time of the weekend where the new work week looms over you.  That time where you wondered how fast the time went.  The upside is that it's always pretty casual 

I've been away from work for the past week and a half: a week of vacation and two weekends.  Despite spending a shitload of time online, I got a lot of stuff done.  Got back to getting regular sleep (I had insomnia before) and I'm actually looking forward to working tomorrow.

The rest of the day is going to consist of me dicking around online and playing Samurai Warriors 2.  Again, I almost pulled the trigger on getting both a new 360 Arcade with Tekken 6 and a Slim PS3 with Uncharted 2.

So what will you people be doing on the last few free hours of your weekend?

deciding if I want to work or not and i'm forcing myself to meet some friends at a bar tonight...i've been in my apartment all weekend. 

on the plus side, the guy living above me is moving out today!  This is nice because we have creaky wood floors in my building, which means I can hear every last thing they do up there.

A similar episode happened with my old roommate although he was informed that they had a test earlier that week that he skipped out on entirely.  They moved up the exam a week apparently to round out a couple of concepts.

Long story short, he got booted out on academic probation and dropped out of college for two years.  Going back this semester though.

Maybe my situation isn't so bad in comparison; the situation where I skipped a course's classes for the past three weeks (don't ask why) and came this Saturday to my professor's office begging like a whore to be allowed back into his lectures (because I went over the allowed limit of unexcused absences). He agreed to allow me back, but notified me that there's a major exam, on that same day, 3 hours from our meeting.

Fffuuuu... is right. That sounds like a bad dream more than a real life situation. I used to dream stuff like that all during college and for about 5 years afterward. "Oh, crap! I have forgotten to attend this class since the fist week, and the final exam is today!" 

Locally and immediately it's ALREADY Monday here in teh futchar, and I woke up at 7 to see my kids off to school after getting them fed and dressed.

got them for all but writing, of course...my contracts and torts classes are closed book, property is open everything-but-commercial-outlines though, which is nice.

My best exams last year were closed book. With open-book, I'm likely to needlessly double check everything.

Welp, I'll be going to bed within the hour.  Despite the tune up, my car seems to be leaking something (it is too dark to tell), so I might need to take it in again if that is in fact the case

it's already Monday morning for me but Sunday evening was pretty sold: got a few hours of Forza in while the child slept, spent about 2hrs cooking and eating (made chocolate chip cookies for my daughter, she loved them), watched Drag Me to Hell and a few eps of Flight of the Conchords. Wish I could do it all over again!

I just stayed in and browsed on the internet and played some video games.  I'm on call this week so I didn't really want to do a whole lot or anything that might involve a time investment if I have to take a call.  The weather was pretty nice though, probably the last time we'll have 60 degree temperatures until next spring.

I always did papers about 9 PM.  Early evening still allowed me an hour or two to procrastinate further.  This Sunday is one of the rare instances where I took care of shit earlier in the day

I spent most of the day doing homework that should have been completed earlier in the week.  Actually, it's more like "I slept in today and then wasted a bunch of time on the internet before finally starting my work at 6pm."  Just had to read a chapter and then take a test (which was over four chapters) online, with the deadline at 11pm tonight.  Really wasn't that big a deal; got a 94 on the test, no sweat.  Now I have to sit around for another two hours waiting for my wife to finish at work (11:30!).  Probably gonna play some NSMB Wii or maybe more Tekken.

Only got two weeks left of classes.  All of the work (sans the finals) is now up, so I could get started on it now and work to finish everything this week...

...but something tells me I'll be doing this week's work on Saturday and Sunday next week.   :'(
