Does anyone here watch Game Center CX?

so basicaly there is this japanese show about this comedian trying to finish old NES & SNES game such as ghost & goblins,the thing is the guy isn't really up to the job so he often fails and he gets to tries over and over and over... it basicaly turns into this epic struggle complete with "WILL HE BE ABLE TO DO IT" commentary and overblown music

of course it being all in japanese sucks but lucky for you,a fansub group called tv-nihon is fansubbing the thing! All of the first season got translated,and also most of the second one (in fact a new episode was released a few days ago which is what prompted this thread) if you want to bother with only a single episode try the atlantis no nazo one!

I saw 1st season -- v funny and I love how half the old arcade games he plays are broken in some way.

Hey thanks for the heads-up, I briefly watched the first season when the subs came out, good stuff.

It's a shame nobody picked up the series when they were shopping it around.

I love Game Center CX. I wish there were more episodes online to download, subbed or not.

But even as a fan of the show, I thought the first DS game kinda sucked. Haven't tried the second yet.

The first DS game was cool, but I got frustrated it at one point. I think theracing game. I couldnt even bother doing the Dragon Quest grinding one.

Shame the second one wont be coming over.

there are several cheats to make the racing game more like a formality than anything else
as for the rpg if you go to a certain place you can end the game instantly,of course you still have to do the first dungeon normaly so if you can't hold for that i can't really help you

I had no trouble with the Dragon Quest game, I just didnt feel like grinding through it.

Wow, those subs are crazy far behind.  I think it's at like season 10 here.

Anyway, I'm a big fan of the show.  I try to catch the new episodes when I have a chance, and I own the DVD boxsets which are pretty cool and come with extra bonuses.  Earlier this year, they even had special "CX" road trip where they would go to different arcades and set up a special version of Space Invaders where Arino did all of the sound effects and the graphics were redrawn.  They stopped in my city so I checked it out, pretty funny.
