Never read any of her books. Tough Guide to Fantasy Land is a satirical dictionary of fantasy writing cliches which could be interesting.

Reservoir Dogs is pretty weak on Blu-Ray. Looks a bit nicer but the extras are sad. Goodfellas has an awesome commentary track (well at least the HD-DVD did) that features the real-life Henry Hill and the FBI agent who pursued him. You have to hear it.

Also, Howl's Moving Castle is really good, liked it much better than the film. The plot is a bit of a mind-bender for a kid's book.

Cajole - yeah, but the initial DVD transfer was beyond a joke. Double-sided (meaning you flip halfway through), bordered on all 4 sides, hideos picture quality...I've triple-dipped on this film :'(

Moving into an apartment with much more space, including a gigantic living room. So I just bought the Samsung 55" LN55B650:

Haven't set it up yet, though - been busy and I don't watch much TV. Picture looked great in the store, however, and I got a good deal (though these things are always dropping in price). $1899 on Saturday, and today at the same Best Buy it was already back up to $2220 (I think it's like $2800 MSRP). I'm gonna use my 40" for the bedroom.

Aside from my Secret Santa gifts:

They don't publish this in the States, so I was always going to import it... but I never did. Found it in a random book store last night, was excited. Impulse bought it. It's not supposed to be that good since it's Murakami's first book, but as a ridiculously huge Murakami fan I'm sure I'll enjoy it anyway. It's super short too-- I could probably finish it in an hour or two.
