Episode was alright. I'm so tired of Kate, past present and future. And the temple stuff really is not interesting, just more stalling. The last reveal with pretty obvious but still interesting. Also, why is every Hurley line a caricature/nerd fan service. It's getting tiring, and I like the character.

Just get back to Locke.

Assuming that Jacob didn't know he was going to die, perhaps he and his buddy both have the same thing in mind. They're both stuck on the island, and they both need someone to replace them before they can leave.

Now what's weird is that Jacob's hit squad were referring to Lazarus as a candidate in s5.

Seeing how Kwon is ambiguous, so is Shepard. What if, they are two separate candidate lists? The one in the cave belongs to smokey, in the previews jack comes upon his name written down somewhere else.

My feeling is that Jacob does believe there is a purpose to the island, a purpose yet to be revealed, and protecting the island for an indefinite period of time is necessary for it to manifest. Facob selfishly opting to halt the cycle of candidates would result in the island never achieving its intended purpose, whatever that may be.

The numbers explanation was definitely pretty weak and does nothing to actually explain their power (Leonard going crazy, Hurley winning the lottery). But at least it was something.

I was really hoping they were going to bring up the black and white stones that Jack finds on Adam and Eve in Season 1. I saw the stones on the scale in the cave and I was like I'VE BEEN WAITING 6 FUCKING YEARS PLEASE GOD and nada.

Explain the fucking stones, why Adam and Eve had them and who the fuck they were.

Y'know, they never did bother to explain Walt's powers yet, or why pregnant women can't have babies on the island after the incident, or the magical box, or dead people visiting hurley, or the giant hurley bird, or the psychic getting all freaked out about aaron and then later the psychic claiming he was a big fat liar. It would be hilarious if the last episode just has an hour long monolouge trying to plug up all the unnecessary plot devices they have created.

I really miss season one.

edit: I think Walt pisses me off the most. Especially since they like to have him cameo at least once a season with no further explanation to what the fuck was his deal in the first place.

1. its a nickname, both names start with H, etc. nothing special
2. Yes he is a fatass after all. But if 2-3 more people had stepped onto that deck it would have collapsed anyway.
