I kept saying last night that if they kill of Richard and Ben in the same episode I was done with the show. Hell, if they killed off just Ben I'd be done with the show. I don't care about the 8 remaining episodes or whatever!

Thankfully they didn't and I can continue watching.

Season has been completely awesome. You kind of have to buy into the idea that the show is crazier and more silly than ever now, but once you do, its very rewarding. Emerson killed this last episode. I think O'Quinn and him are probably both going to get Emmy noms again.

Just watched it (Canada and early start times FTW) - unfortunately, its the most disappointing episode of the year so far (no one expected the Kate episode to know our socks off), and only the Kate episode is worse. The off island stuff amounts to mostly random cameos mixed in with a few nuggets of good Sawyer stuff, and the on island stuff is just set up for things to come. Both from a character and a plot perspective, this episode doesnt really progress things a whole lot.

Anyone here who posts at Lost-GAF can copy and paste that over in the episode thread if they want.

That's about where I am. Kate episode was just awful, most of the others are pretty decent, with this latest episode being really good.

Watching Sundown. This Japanese dude is one of the absolute worst and most generic characters introduced to the series. It's like they created the most cliche character to introduce a continuation of the worst tricks in Lost. His dialogue is horrible, and I just saw that fight with Sayid. Seriously?

I'm serious guys, that was a legitimately average to bad episode. They continue to rehash some of the worst cliches of the show ("what if I told you you could have whatever you wanted if you followed me lol") and they've magnified it by introducing one of the cheesiest characters in show history.

Granted I'm glad he died, but how many times have we seen the old "what have you done?!?!?! you've killed us all!!!" bit. I'm glad the show is finally done with the temple, it really provided the worst episodes of the season.

I liked the end of the Sayid alternative flash. It was hard getting too excited about John wrecking shit, considering it was started by him manipulating Sayid in such a cliched manner. That used to be Ben's game, and at the time it was cool. It sucks because I've liked Sayid for a long time, but I can't say I like this path he's going down.

edit: some great Ben scenes/moments made up for some of the worse aspects of things. It really seems like the writers are on full rehash mode. While that last beach scene was nice, how many times have we seen it before. Or the whole "follow me and you'll get what you want lol" bit.

Wouldn't say it was poop, but it was just another lackluster episode. I thought the season really picked up with The Substitute and Lighthouse, but since then it's gotten back to the disappointing nature of the first few episodes.

I can't help but watch this thinking "I've seen this before" constantly, and the attempts at creating intrigue or mystery are so stale I find myself losing interest.

The alternative flashes reek of pure fanfic.

Awesome episode. Ive only enjoyed the Ben and Locke episodes more this season. Lots of great scenes with MIB, confirmation of several longstanding theories, some great character scenes and heaps of mythology. All the things a classic episode of LOST should be.
