Obviously you were not moved by the single note piano music and reunion flashbacks, because you don't get the characters.

I now fully understand why they call it Lost  :lol

What I don't get is why some people think it's smart that the story asks a bunch of questions that even the writers can't answer.  That's just awful writing not art.  It's always easier to raise an interesting issue than to resolve it.  Willco is right in that the fans will come to their senses in a few years and realize that the finale was just awful, like the conclusion of The Matrix.

Dharma Initiative - Major plot point through more than half the series, but gets virtually no mention at all in the last season. Did Jacob order their deaths by The Others? Is so, why?

Hatches/Research stations - No mention at all.

Faraday's Mom - Seems to know a great deal about what's going and even helps everyone else figure things out, but the finale offers nothing up about who she really is or how she knows what she knows.

Jacob's control over the island - Ben claims that Jacob was responsible for making it impossible for people to leave, so does that mean that everyone who has ever come there since he gained control has been because he allowed them to? Did he allow Dharma to come there then, if so, why? Did he have them killed because they were getting too close to the island's power source?

The island's power source - It's a mystical something, that's all we know.

Hurley bird - ?

Charles Whidmore - Major player through the latter half of the series, but we know very little about him other than that he was once on the island but Ben had him sent away. Jacob's control over the island renders his power struggle with Ben pointless since it's ultimately up to Jacob to decide he controls the island or who doesn't. Where did "The Rules" come from, were they Jacob's or did Ben and Whidmore come up with them on their own? If the latter, why make them up in the first place?

Pregnancy problems - Important through much of the series, but never really gets answered. Was this Jacob's doing?

Have I missed anything?

Tons probably. But it's been 6 years.

Like I said, I was more disappointed when things started getting answered and I was like "Well this is gay!"

If they had kept the same atmosphere of mystery and intrigue and kept the silly god shit and horrible, obvious and anti climatic answers out of the show it would have been so much better.  Not "art".  I don't give a fuck if it's art.  but it would have been more entertaining.

Dickens worked exactly the same way. He literally had no idea where each serialized piece of his works was going. Sometimes he actually used public feedback to dictate where the stories would go. And Dickens is regarded as a Literary master.

Like Dickens, Darlton did have an idea of how the story would end and they delivered it.

Dharma was resolved in Season 5. They were hippie scientists who came to the island to study the electromagnetism there (the power source) and then they broke open a pocket of electromagnetism at the Sawn station, women could no longer give birth on the island.

They had both "awakened" and that was the first time they had seen Sawyer in purgatory. So its just a seeing an old buddy smile.

That would make perfect sense, if it made any sense whatsoever. I'm sure electromagnetic energy is yellow light in a a kiddie pool caused by a stone cork with Egyptian hieroglyphics plugged into the center of the Earth.

This is why being a Lost apologist is a perfect job for you.

Again, I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt when we did not see the contents of the well, but considering it was a shallow kiddie pool with magical yellow light caused by a cork with Egyptian hieroglyphics plugged into some kind of molten rock - you then lose the ability to talk about the "light" scientifically.

An ABC source confirms to me that after Sunday’s series finale, titled “The End,” airs from 9 – 11:30 pm ET/PT, the season six DVD (as well as the complete series collection, out on DVD and Blu-ray August 24) will continue the saga with upwards of twenty minutes of additional storyline.

“It’s in production now,” confirms the source, who couldn’t yet confirm the actual running time of the new scenes. “Damon and Carlton wanted to offer fans answers to additional questions they couldn’t get to in the body of the final show.”

hahaha, cough it up if you want your answers, lost fans

maybe if they'd trimmed a few minutes off all those piano tinkling sidehugging moments they could have fit the answers in
