No, I like competency in my shows. Fringe has it, Lost has generally not. It's not very well written, the finale is a perfect example of the sloppy writing on display. For a "character-driven" show, it doesn't really have bullpen capable of writing, well, compelling characters. Characters never drove this show.
What Lost had that Fringe did not - from the beginning - was a super awesome concept. Fringe struggled its first season to find its hook, but when it did, look out! It was off to the races! Lost has squandered something that most serialized television dramas never have - a great pilot.
