I don't know why ABC would be in a rush to find a Lost replacement with a spinoff. It's not like it was a huge audience draw during the last several years, infact the numbers just got lower and lower as it went on. If they were stupid enough to green light it, I'd imagine that'd it get pulled by midseason.

it was less distinguished mentally-challenged when we all thought it might be some nanabot swarm island defense system (i personally thought it was something the others had accidentally brought back from the future during an "island-shifting" and could not control but had learned to defend against)

I'm pretty sure it was him believeing Lost-purgatory was some real alternate reality he could access, so that nothing in the real world "mattered" as there were alternate selves to go to. Then he pulled the stone cork and it didn't happen and he realized he was wrong.

There's a Lost epilogue coming out, on the season 6 DVD presumably. It was available on some website, but they had to take it down.

"Answers":

- Who was delivering the pallet drops? [ Two guys in Guam who have been receiving coodinates from the Lamp Post station for the past 20 years ]

- What was the Hurley Bird? [ A genetically altered bird from the Hydra station ]

- Why does Pierre Chang have aliases? [ Because he didnt want anyone revealing his name (seriously) ]

- What is Room 23? [ An interrogation room for the hostiles to learn about a diety they worship called Jacob ]

- Walt? [ Went "crazy" and put himself in the Santa Rosa hospital because he knew he was special and nobody believed him and knew they would come back for him (he never wanted to leave the island in the first place remember). Hurley and Ben say he has a "job to do" and they leave. That's it. (This could explain why Hurley and Ben are in the afterlife, and not Walt) ]

- Why Polar Bears? [ They did tests on them at Hydra with ElectroMagnetism, then attached a collar (tracking collar) to them and shuffled them to Orchid, which is where the Wheel was, and they would get poof'd to Tunisia Desert ]

- Pregnancy Issue? [ Something something ElectroMagnetism affects gestation period. Along those lines. ]
