Dubbed Final Fight: Double Impact, this single digital download will contain both Final Fight and Magic Sword. Those with access to the Xbox Live Arcade or the PlayStation Store will have the opportunity to snag it. No pricing details have been announced as of this writing.

Both Final Fight and Magic Sword are old-school side-scroling beat-em-ups. Magic Sword puts players in the shoes of The Brave One in a fight against he forces of Drokmar. If you didn't already know or hadn't guessed, this is a fantasy-themed brawler. Final Fight, meanwhile, takes players along for a ride with the iconic Cody, Guy, and Haggar as they fight across six stages of Metro City against Mad Gear. Cody and Guy will also both be playable in Super Street Fighter IV.

This release will have two visual modes, one that will "make the games shine in crisp and clear HD glory," and another that allows players to use the original look. Both games will support leaderboards and online play with drop-in co-op allowing players to join a friend's game already in progress.

Capcom beat em ups are due for a revival. Its a shame their really great liscensed games aren't likely to ever get a rerelease, but a guy can dream.

Final Fight kinda sucks these days. But I'll buy this bundle if the price is right (400 pts).

Yeah, Magic Sword's definitely "nostaliga good," but a fun enough romp through once or twice. You can play it two player, which the SNES home port lacked. Final Fight's pretty much the same way, but I still love the shit out of it. They should have gone the HD Remix route with both games; there's so little animation on those sprites that it would be easy to make some ultra-detailed updated characters.

It's probably going to be 800 points, but what's the point of that? Nowadays the standard price for rom dumps is 400, so bundling two together for 800 is kinda pointless. 1200 would just be

400 is pretty low for two games, and I guess Capcom wouldn't want to try and scam them for 800 each. Eh, whatever. ┐('～`；)┌

They're not very well know, but then again, it's not like Magic Sword was a huuuuuge title and it's getting an XBLA release.

Wonder if Warzard/Red Earth would be another possible release, that was a beautiful-looking game from the screens I've seen of it.

Well there is a new Predator movie coming out. So what better way to promote the film than to reteam with one of the best game companies of this generation and to rerelease of the best games to come out the franchise.

I picked it up after playing the demo for about ten minutes. Dunno if it's just me, but it looks and feels so much better/truer to the arcade than all the shit ports Backbone has put out thus far.

The settings I have it on make it look like an actual arcade cabinet, down to the scanlines.

If I recalled correctly, they all have one cheap-ass invincible move that you can pull off by pressing both buttons at the same time. The con is that your health is diminished every time you use it. It was a great way to earn quarters. Kids that suck would just keep spamming that move and pumping in more quarters to continue the game. It's how I played it.

Alright me and Ichi cleaned up Metro City last night. Cheevs are a little touchy, Ichi died during the last boss, before he could continue I finished the boss off. No cheev for him. I stuffed up and picked Guy at the end of my Cody run - no cheev for me. It DOES save individual levels you have completed with a character and in co-op, but the omission of a level select feature still means you gotta play through the game again.

Its a pretty good port, there will be a visual mode to suit everyone, and there is the option of a remixed soundtrack which is always a nice touch. Unfortunatley it isnt the mid-90's cheesy Sega CD soundtrack.

The vault challenges are mostly easy, time trials are cake on easy co-op. Points I think you need to play single player on hard. I already got most of them just by playing through a couple of times.

Ichi lets try and bag that Industrial time trial challenge this weekend, I'll be Haggar. When you were playing as him I notice you werent using his flying Pile Driver. Its devastating on bosses (takes off 3/4 of a life bar when their health is high), to perform it: when you are holding an enemy, press jump and when you are at the height of the jump press attck to pile drive. you can even direct yourself onto other bad guys for extra carnage! (Im sure you saw me going nuts with the move lol). Once were done we should play some Magic Sword. Do you have a headset? It sucked ass having to type out messages all the time

I'm gonna do Haggar on my own in hard to see if I can get the Haggar cheev (every time I try to jump in on someone else's game they're already using Haggar so I can't do that to skip thru levels to get to the end, argh) and the points challenge.

TBH, of all the characters I used I liked Guy best. Cody suckkkkks, I died so many times while I was using him.

Let's do a hard playthru with you using Haggar and me using Guy this weekend to see if we can get those time challenges to unlock everything in the vault.

EDIT: I do have a headset somewhere, need to look for it.

I reckon we should go on easy for the time trial, I'll set up a save game for us so we can retry it if we need to and stuff. Theres only one time trial we need to get still, which is industrial. We'll need to go solo for the points anyhow, as you'll need to kill everyone and get all the items yourself to reach those points totals.

The game is fun as hell so yeah lets do another playthrough, then we can crank Magic Sword co-op. (theres a vault challenge for beating the game co-op so lets do that)

okay I read up on the Industrial time challenge, the trick is to use easy mode, and keep pushing forward non-stop (some baddies get left behind!) then pile driver stupid ass boss with Haggar.

Single player on hard for the points challenges.

Yeah, it was Proper Games, not Backbone...which is why I think Capcom should let Proper Games do these XBLA ports in the future.

I think it deals like a sliver of damage when you knock each other around.

Magic Sword is 50 floors, wtf...one of the achievements is to clear a level without taking damage.

Red Earth is not a good game, and would be the absolute worst choice to port if they can get CPS3 working on the 360.
