I am pretty sure you can drink in your own home it's only during Ramadan when you can't eat in front of Muslims etc.

I think it's kind of distinguished mentally-challenged to think that Dubai is just going to turn into a gold rush era ghost town. The arab people still take great pride in it and there is still plenty of money in that part of the world to make it viable.

You just won't see the same explosive growth you had seen in the past decade. It will be a more measured and more responsible one. So, it will probably become stronger in the long run.

Not to mention that when the global economy does come back, gas prices will go right back to 100-120 dollars/bl and they will be flush with money again. It's not if ... it's when.
