I thought uguu~ was just a different way of whatever noise people use to express frustration.  I'm going off of urban dictionary and wikipedia here.  Like "ugh, this pisses me off."  The happy sugary weeaboo version changes "ugh" to "uguu."  From that clip, uguu~ is more like uguuuuuuuuuuuuu O______________________ o ;; but the "~" is meant to save space.  The writers were trying to be clever.  As long as it makes people like Great Rumbler pitch a tent, I'd say the show did its job.

Your point? If anything the emphasis on defense, plays, and good point guards make things more interesting - at least for me. I also like rivalries, they (usually) produce great games. I'll take Duke vs UNC or Mich St vs Wisconsin etc over any "important" NBA game. March Madness is the most exciting time for college basketball but the weeks leading up to it are great as well.

There isn't just techno, there's trance, electronica, mnml, etc.  Lump all of it in the techno umbrella and someone gets pissy over it.  Other than metal, there is no genre of music that tries to call itself by so many other names.  9 out of 10 people don't know or care what type of electronic music it is.

Also, in the techno world, there is always a dozen remixes of a hit radio song yet none of them are even as close to being good as the original.  Why are there so many inferior remixes of something?  I've never heard one that was better than the original.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

What don't you get about it... the nomenclature or the actual music? There's a clear-cut difference (at least IMO) between the main genres of electronic music... Of course you have a lot of smaller genres that are constantly changing form (progressive house nowadays is quite a bit different from what it was 10 years ago) or blur genre boundaries (is it deep house or is it tech house or is it minimal?).

And the reason why there are tons of songs getting remixed is people get paid decent $$ to do the remixes. And there are some remixes that are much more well-known than the original track (Delerium and Sarah McLachlan's "Silence" being one offhand), or are specifically done in a genre to blend into DJs sets. Not to mention dance remixes of pop songs they like to play at shitty clubs.

Though one problem EDM seems to be having lately is that everyone is remixing the classics, giving them a slightly contemporary update (read: farty electro basslines and tech-house style beats), instead of A) coming up with new ideas or B) just spinning the originals.

Why the fuck do people mix sports movies with religion? I just came from this thing with my friend and we wanted to watch (from what we heard it was) a good ol' fashioned football movie. Instead, it's about a team with a struggling record, a crappy coach and a bunch of people who lift their team up from shambles through the love of God.

I left when the new kicker lacks self confidence in his ability to pull off a good field goal. The assistant coach is like,"WHAT DOES SCIPTURE SAY?" and my and I up and left.
