Sesame Street today is nothing more than the Elmo show. You need to get the DVDs of the "Old School" versions from the 70s and 80s.

Muppets are excellent, but most of The Dark Crystal does not hold up well at all. If there was a remake, it'd all be CG; it would be crappier than even the original. Be careful, Willco might write it!

It doesn't hold up well? I'll have to watch it again...or maybe I won't just in case it sucks to me :(

I read the creators are planning on a mixture of puppets and CGI if a remake is done.

Oh well. I re-watched Neverending Story a couple years ago and almost cried. Not because or Artax but because it wasn't good  :'(

FTR, disney cartoons still hold up really well.  I rewatched Bambi a couple weeks ago with my baby brother, the story is all right and the animation is really good.  My only problem was that they kept the same super high-pitched toddler voice actor for the adult version of Thumper but that's a stupid complaint really.  I just remembered that my friends and I always referred to him as Thumper the Humper so that makes it really weird actually.

They're not remaking Dark Crystal. They're doing a sequel set a couple decades after the original. The only CG will be backgrounds and some sets, everything else us puppets.
