This has been all over the news in Seattle for the last two years, and now that they're going to appeal the decision, it will be all over the news in Seattle for another two years.

Not sure what I think about the case, we've got people here that think she's an innocent angel, and another camp who thinks she deserves to rot in prison for the rest of her life.

To be fair, there is absolutely no forensic evidence tying her to the crime. That said, she didn't do herself any favors with a foreign jury by acting so cheerful in court and turning her trial into a fashion show.

I think she'll get released eventually; they don't really have anything on her other than she may or may not be a huge, dirty slut.

The prosecution can also appeal in Canada if there's a significant error of law.

Yeah I heard about this back when it happened but didn't follow it until the outcome now.

Anyhow she should be behind bars or burned alive if they still do that over there. Not only did she cut her roomates throat open (soooo fucked up) while drunk/on drugs, but even if she didn't she tried to pin it on an innocent guy who would've been sentenced to life in prison or death cause he's a guy, not a cute girl. I HATE people who falsely blame other people for serious crimes. Putting an innocent person in prison for no reason other than that the accuser is cute, the right gender, or the racist town's favorite race is the most horrible thing in civilized society. False charges should be life in prison sentences. Who knows when they could pull that shit again.

To play devil's advocate, defense claims not only was she interrogated without legal counsel, but was physically intimidated by police to say a lot of the allegations.

There's some merit to it, because a lot of her police testimony is inadmissable as a result.

I don't think she's perfect, and I think she has to pay for stupid mistakes, but there's nothing tying her to the murder.

I haven't watched cable news for four years now and I did hear of this story once. It emphasized how an American woman committed a serious crime in Italy. I just imagined hearing that EuroGAF would bitch and whine about how Americans can flout any European rules and expect to get away with it. I haven't heard anything since.

I don't give a shit about her and if she did stab some other girl to death not in self defense, then let her rot in prison. In the US, an attractive woman is not allowed by the Constitution to serve any serious time for whatever crime for whatever motive she has. She is supposed to serve a little time in a minimum security facility and then go on the TV circuit to promote a book about it. That or pose for a magazine.

Pretty much. The prosecutor was trying to claim that it was some satanic sex game gone wrong, but no one really knows what happened. Hell, they couldn't even prove that Knox even killed her.

And the jurors were never sequestered, which meant they were free to read/watch media coverage of the event which was heavily biased against her from the start of this case.
