"Generic shooter" is too good for Quantum Theory. I can't believe people have been actually defending this POS.

Rygar.

Edit: Yeah, Team Tachyon's legitimate next-gen Rygar (and not a re-release of that shitty wii version they did).
It took them longer to port Rygar to the Wii than it did to make the original PS2 version they ported.

Surprisingly enough, yes. There was a thread about the game on GAF over the summer where people were attacking those of us referring to it as an uninspired generic copycat game.

Ok, so you guys were jerking off over PS2 in the other thread, because it has shoddy crappy games. Yet when the 360 gets them they suddenly suck and are not welcome and yet 360 isnt like PS2.

You guys always this hypocritical?

The 360 will never even touch the USB ports of the PS3. There was more suck in those two single drives on PS2 than the amount of good games throught this entire generation.

How the fuck did they come up with the name "Quantum Theory" for a game anyways?  Who decided that was a good idea?  It's almost as generic as "Dark Void" (though the DV team doesn't have an excuse as English is their native tongue)...

Dark Void is an accurate title though. Would you have liked them to call the game RocketDude?
Oh yeah, it's accurate, but it sounds pretty lame if you think about it...

I suppose it's just par for the course with video games, though.

This thread is about that animu gears of war ripoff?  who cares?
How is "Dead Space" or "Mirror's Edge" cool yet "Dark Void" and "Quantum Theory" shitty titles? Explain.
dude, people just pretend to care about titles so that they can make a semi-lucid sounding point of criticism for an ex-exclusive.

There's nothing that has a "GREAT" title or whatever.

Ha ha, it was just an offhand comment.  I suppose, when looking at those other titles, Dark Void is par for the course.

...but Quantum Theory?  That doesn't make any sense.  It sounds like a randomly selected title with no purpose.  I dunno, it just stood out to me as an odd choice.

I have no love for this game and was only lightly aware of its existence.  I've just always thought it had a funny name.

Quantum(field)theory is one of the most difficult things in physics, extremely hard to understand, but beautiful at the same time.
Quantum mechanics, not so much difficult, but it works well.

That said,i have no clue why this game is named Quantum...

Mass effect is also a medical term general used for the consequences of a growing cancer. I don't know if the creators of the game made any kind of link, but you could argue that the meaning of the term fits in with one of themes of the game in that the Reapers first infiltrated a civilization and then used its own technology and people against it.

I think it's only fair that 360 owners can now decide if they want to play Gears or the knock off just like how PS3 owners need to choose between GoW3 and Dante's Inferno.  At the same time, both sides can experience the underwhelmathon.

Since i am in a nerd mode today...there is no mass defect thing, mass is a physical constant,it has to stay that way for numerous reasons.
Einstein equation is not E=mc^2...the problem is that m is not mass.

OMG my chemistry textbook lied to me.  It said that mass itself was lost somehow to get the energy to cause the nuclear reactions.  I am totally lost right now.

yeah I was remembering it wrong.  The book actually clarified that it was giving an overly simple explanation.  Technically, you could make an illusion that is faster than light tho (the spotlight thing).  I don't remember how, but I think that I connected that with the faster than light travel they had in Mass Effect.

And demi, Tali was the one in the robot suit.  You're probably thinking of the blue one, liara.
