I got to floor 25 of EO1 and floor 15 of EO2.  With the way things are going, I probably won't even make it to floor 6 in EO3. :'(

Ok. Now I know it's safe to admit I never finished EO.  :'( I got distracted and EO is pretty much impossible to pick up again after a long absence.

What's funny is that after I stopped playing EO, I gave my copy to a friend for Christmas.  He called me 6 months later to bitch about the last set of floors. :teehee

i finished the original (i'm the only one who finished the original here?  ???)but for EO2 my save imploded while on the 4th stratum and i never wanted to bother with the game again...
i'm the only one who at the news simply tought "well fuck you too atlus!" really you weren't able to make the game better with EO2,why i should expect you to fix thing with yet another try?

Think I made it to floor 9 or so before getting bored with the first game... progression just seemed too slow for my tastes. I have the second one, shrinkwrapped. Perhaps I'll go back to the first game sometime.

well there are some jobs that totaly wreck any sort of semblance of balance in both games,you don't really need to grind as long as you get a medic with immunize in the original and a combination of dark hunter/gunner/hexer in 2
it's kinda like dragon quest 7... you spend hour to get your thief to learn a skill that tell your location or you read a guide and make all your character who aren't horrible at physical damage warrior/dancer and get sword dance (4 attack at full power in a single turn for no cost at all)

Yeah, I don't feel too bad because this is one franchise I can just wait until the US version is out and discounted.  I think I got EO2 for about $12, though I guess that's still too much since I haven't opened it!
I want to finish EO1 before I play EO2 but it's been so long I'm not sure I could pick up my old EO1 game anymore.

I may buy EO3 when it's $12 and just skip EO2 if it's a major improvement.  I do feel with the type of game it is, that one every 4-5 years would be sufficient.  Kinda like how we only get one real SMT every 4 years.

I beat the shit out of the original game, got all my characters to 70 with sick builds and beat the optional boss.  I made it to the golden giant or whoever that boss is in the sequel, it's a really tough fight since only my gunner can deal good elemental damage.  I got close to beating him but put the game down and haven't picked it up since, I'm really close to the end so I should probably follow it through.

It's a really great game series, I don't expect a lot of people to like it but there's a lot of strategy involved and always a sense of urgency that's missing from most RPGs these days.  The only thing I'm not sold on is that a lot of the boss battles have luck involved, hoping they don't spam their most powerful attacks.
