The early spin in that thread is that of course. This was obviously going to happen (even though very few people predicted it). This was to be expected since MW 2 was such a big game and is identified with the 360.

This will be the biggest fanboy war thread on GAF in quite awhile.

What are you guys talking about? Modern Warfare 2 is pretty great, and arguably one of the best multiplayer games on a console. I guess if you're a butthurt JRPG fan, it must suck, but for people that like good games, it's awesome.

Even the single player, with its stupid storyline and completely disposable gameplay, is fun enough to play through.

I don't think it's foul, but something natural to expect from a big game launch, especially when the EXISTING userbase is already so skewed 2:1.

Obviously something that moves 6 million units in 3 weeks is going to move consoles more than 2-month old price drops.

It's bizarre to see Dragon Age on the charts. And I honestly thought that the PC version would outsell its console counterpart, simply because the game might have been a little too "hardcore" for mainstream audiences (but in the PC gamer's wheel house).

Also, strong numbers for Left 4 Dead 2. Some boycott.

PC games are tracked separately I believe. Things like Sims 3 or Warcraft expansions would make it on a list like this (and that's pretty much it) but like I said, they are tracked on their own by NPD.
