It is weird in that thread people were advocating $300 jeans because you could ride in them everyday etc. I have a pair of $20 kmart jeans that I have ridden in most days for the past 6 months that haven't ripped yet.

But to be fair I ride in them because they look shit and usually aren't what I'd go 'out' in. They just save (and have saved) my skin probably more than any other pant would.

Sometimes I wonder how they afford some of those clothes.

All the fucking time. Back when I was into clubbing, I'd spend small fortunes on clothes from Matinique and Tiger of Sweden. Sort of hard to imagine now, to be honest. Can't stand jeans, dumb fit, not enough pockets and the once that are there aren't nearly as accessible as they are on a good pair of cargo pants.

Yeah, never really saw the big deal with overpriced jeans. The most comfortable pair I have is a $35 pair from American Eagle. People tell me I dress pretty nice but usually I just find good sales at places like Macy's (they tend to overstock and then they mark some pretty nice stuff down to bargain bin prices) and take advantage of Express/Guess/etc coupons.
